Baptisms and Weddings
Picture
The sacraments of baptism and marriage occur as a part of our wider life of worship, service, and prayer.

Baptisms
Baptism in the Episcopal Church is open to infants, children and adults. Holy Baptism is appropriately administered within the Eucharist as the chief service on a Sunday or other feast.

Each candidate for Holy Baptism is to be sponsored by one or more baptized persons.

Those who are interested in rooting their life in the community of Saint Peter’s Church are invited to contact the Parish Office at (815) 895-2227 or email [email protected] to begin a conversation.

Weddings
The church building is available for weddings to members and those who have an ongoing relationship with Saint Peter's Church.

The sanctuary seats approximately 150 guests.

Some couples have also chosen to use the fellowship hall for their receptions.

Customary to Episcopal churches, couples should plan for a minimum of three premarital preparation sessions with the officiating priest in the lead-up to their wedding day.

There is a nominal fee to use the church. Honorariums should be paid to the priest and the organist.
